Swell Time #3
Swell Time is a creation that returns the experience of art enjoyment to smaller spaces, creating moments for emerging artists to connect to an audience intimately. Taking over The House of Music & Booze the festival is now onto its third offering, with two great events that have seen interactive art installations, DJs creating sweaty house music driven dance floors, and, of course, a stage where bands play to adoring listeners who are ready to fall in love with the talent that Sydney has on offer both visually and sonically
So far the festival has supported musicians such as Le Shiv, Babitha, Fig, Sweetie, Mega Fauna, Abroad, Georgia Mulligan, Maia Toakley, Liquid Time, Poolroom., Pyjama Sundyaz, Jet City Sports Club, Hatchling, and many others. Each event is anchored in an idea which directs the visual and sonic activities. Last rendition the idea was lust and each aspect of the event was curated to explore that theme, including a match making moment in which two audience members who put their names forward were drawn and met on stage to see if chemistry abounded. We can’t give away the theme ahead of time as it’s meant to be explorative, however, we can assure you it will be fun.
The third rendition will again be taking place at The House of Music and Booze on April 20 from 2pm onwards. The line up features an all star cast of Eora(Sydney) and Naarm(Melbourne) talent:
